Segway eKickScooter MAX G3

This scooter has a superior build quality. I recently upgraded from a Ninebot scooter which I had 4,700 miles on, so I knew I could trust the Segway brand. This scooter is robust in safety feature, including excellent lighting and turn indicators. Also, it is sufficiently fast for commuting, with great battery management and also superb braking. Also notable is the braking, which utilizes break rotors for quick braking. Finally, the air lock feature makes your scooter secure from theft, with loud alarms and auto braking, to discourage theft. The system disables your scooter to prevent unauthorized users from taking it. I would buy again!

I don’t own a car, and the Segway eKickScooter MAX G3 has been an excellent alternative for commuting and running errands. It handles extra weight very well and feels stable, safe, and confidence-inspiring, even at higher speeds. The suspension and overall build quality make a noticeable difference on rough city streets and longer rides.

The scooter is quite heavy, which makes it less portable and difficult to carry. I usually roll it instead, and when I do need to lift or move it, it’s only for short distances. This is the trade-off for its long range, strong performance, and high-quality ride, which I personally appreciate and find worth it.

One practical recommendation is to attach an AirTag. When the scooter is folded, powered off, or misplaced, it cannot be tracked reliably on its own. An AirTag provides much more reliable location tracking through Apple’s Find My network, which is exclusive to the Apple ecosystem and uses nearby Apple devices to help locate lost items.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the MAX G3 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serious, dependable commuter scooter that can realistically replace short car trips.
