I appreciate the fact that this store is open 7 days a week since I needed a replacement battery on short notice over the weekend.
The stock Ninebot S battery is rated at 236Wh [5400Ah] which showed a 13.1 Mile Range in the app. The Segway LA battery is rated at 310Wh [5700mAh]. The Ninebot S factory supplied 54V Charger will charge this higher rated battery to 85% which shows a 15.5 mile range in the app. If you use the 63V Charger from Segway LA it will bring this battery up to 100% which shows an 18.5 mile range in the app. This is a significant improvement over the stock battery.
Side Note: If you really want to go the distance, according to YouTube video, the Ninebot S-Max battery rated at 432Wh [7784mAh] fits the Ninebot S and gives you a 26 MPH range. I haven’t tried this mainly because of the $459 price tag for that battery.
Off-Topic: I also installed M4M’s aftermarket Swallowbot firmware which changes the stock firmware’s top speed of 10 MPH to a top speed of 14 MPH. This reduces the stock firmware's annoying pushback at real world riding speeds and in conjunction with the upgraded battery provides a more usable every day riding experience.
